My Favorite Spots to See San Francisco’s Famous Bridge

The view of the Sunrise is most enjoyable from the Eastern side of the bridge while the Sunset is best viewed from the Western side. The painting-like views would be around 9am-11am from the Eastern side (on a clear day) — expect the sunlit International Orange bridge with the backdrop of the shadowy hills of the Marin Headlands to inspire you.

Before Sunset: Palace of Fine Arts + Marina Green

Take your camera, step back in time, and stroll along the idyllic setting of the Palace of Fine Arts. After taking some time to unwind . . . continue on a short walk along Marina Blvd. passing by beautiful Spanish Colonial homes all the way to Marina Green looking towards the hills of Marin County . . . get a glimpse of the Alcatraz, and even the silhouette of our famous bridge.
